The 'Natura Ecotours' brand was devised late 2006, and I was approached to design the website for the company. Based in Australia the company had already established the direction they wanted their branding to go, and we worked together to finalise their logo and colour scheme to one that most suited the company.

The initial company logo (bottom) was refined down to a more simplistic and sophisticated logo (top) that better reflects the companies work using a new colour pallate.

Natura wanted a content focused website that played on its important marketing points such as their scientist lead ecotourism tours and the combination of stunning locations that they visit across Australia and the Pacific Islands. With this in mind I started first by considering the overall structure of the website with the extensive overview of the information Natura wanted on the site.

Piliminary designs for the Natura Ecotours homepage using a tabbed navigation system, highlighting the important pieces of information on the site.

I created a site map that outlined the main structural links, as well as how these sections would be related. The devised hierarchical structure will allow the user to easily access the information they want by thinking through the logical groups that the data is stored under. After various drafts of possible structures, a final one was decided on by Natura.

To be as accessible as possible to Natura's target audience, the site will be designed in XHTML and CSS allowing for cross browser and platform support. The design will also be supported by a wide variety of graphical designs aiding navigation around the site.

Planned launch is for early 2007
